Pacific West Community Forestry Center
From 2000 to 2004, Forest Community Research hosted the Pacific West Community Forestry Center, as a regional field station of a national pilot project. The Pacific West Center used a process called "participatory research" to build the capacity of underserved rural and worker communities to participate with scientists and managers in land stewardship and dicisions that affect them.
While the Pacific West Center is no longer active, we continue our work with underserved communities through participatory research, education, and practice to build their capacity to address issues they identify as important.
