The Pacific West Community Forestry Center offers workshops to advance civic science. Workshops are designed to help communities, researchers, and other decision-makers build their capacity to participate in shared resource stewardship. Examples of recent workshops include:

• Staff have provided workshops with congressional staffers in Washington D.C. to build awareness of community forestry issues
• Community partner CIDERS led participatory workshops to build the skills of Latino forest workers and harvesters to engage in forestry discussions and decision-making
• PWCFC co-sponsored a two-day workshop for University of California Cooperative Extension advisors, specialists, and researchers to build skills for engaging with communities in participatory research
