How We Select Projects

In addition to facilitating community-based participatory research projects, PWCFC staff conduct focused research on issues of interest in the region. Because of the scale of these topics, at times PWCFC contributes to a broader research effort with other partners. Recent projects include:

• An Assessment of the Northwest Economic Adjustment Initiative
• A study of the restoration economy in Trinity and Humboldt counties, California (in progress)
• A primer on environmental justice and participatory research
• Community forestry case studies: Hoopa, California and Southwestern Washington
