Local people working for the sustainability of forest and water resources in the northern Sierra: The Sierra Institute's Center of Forestry offers outdoor educational tours that focus on pioneering natural resource management in the northern Sierra Nevada and highlight achievements of local forest and watershed groups and agencies. The tours explore the complex relationship between natural resource management and the economic and cultural health of rural communities.

The educational tours offer an opportunity to get off the beaten path and explore a mix of people, places, and projects in the northern Sierra.  This year, we are offering four new tours!
