The project was funded by Plumas County for $15,000, with an additional $10,000 of rock and haul donated from Collins Pine and Artistic Gardens of Reno.
Guernsey CreekIn 2010, the Collins Pine Company completed a restoration project on Guernsey Creek, just southwest of Lake Almanor. The project worked to restore vegetation along the bank of the creek to fight erosion. Preventing erosion will help uphold the integrity of the community water table. With a higher water table, high mountain meadows can stay productive later into the year, which benefits local ranchers, and can better fight off invasion by conifer species. |

In 2001, FRCRM completed a bank stabilization project at Chester Park, just west of Lake Almanor. The effort helped to stabilize 300 feet of eroding bank along the North Fork Feather River by planting new vegetation, adding additional rock, and directing water flow away from the bank.
