This map shows project work in relation to potential wildfire threat in the Plumas/Upper Feather River Watershed. Most of the area is susceptible to “high,” “very high,” or “extreme” wildfire threat. The utilization of biomass for value added products and services can help to reduce the accumulation of hazardous fuels in California’s forests, and thus diminish the possibility of catastrophic wildfires, which can greatly harm both communities and forest ecosystems.
